Undistracted by the World Cup , the Frenchmen have had plenty of time to run numerous applications on both platforms and you can view the tables easily enough. They conclude that although the P4 has some advantage in terms of longevity of the platform, the Athlon outperforms it in most of its tests. The P4 handles games and "some multimedia applications" surprisingly well, they say, but taking price into account, the Athlon wins out overall. La Intella is closing the gap though, they reckon.
