G80, Geforce 8800 GTX availability improves

Weekly batches of cards
Tue Nov 07 2006, 11:34
GRAPHICS CARD SHIFTERS will never be happy about the quantity of cards that they get. This is the way this industry works, at least when it comes to high-end. Those are the hot cakes that sell like crazy.

Right now, Nvidia doesn't have any competition. If you want the fastest card on planet earth to put under your Yule tree, it's name is G80, Geforce 8800 GTX.

Even the 8800 GTS will kick out most of the competition, we will have some scores for you in the morning as we don't want to spoil Nvidia's nice party in Santa Clara later this American evening.

Partners are struggling to get more allocation as they can sell 'em like there's no tomorrow. And Nvidia is supplying the cards on a weekly basis. They already sent out at least two batches of cards and the next batch is scheduled for next week. So there will be more and more cards out and about but there still may be shortages, as there are no ATI cards to compete with the mighty G80 at this time.

It is the fastest thing on earth and SLI G80 will get you even more performance - it works if you have the right PSU to power it.

Maybe we will post a number or two, you never know. We don't have any bonds, since as usual we didn't sign anything. µ
