Targus recalls 60,000 power inverters

It's shocking, really
Thu Aug 04 2005, 16:36
MOBILE ACCESSORY COMPANY TARGUS today announced the recalling of about 60,556 Slimline Power Inverters sold in the US.

The power inverters apparently present a risk of serious electric shock and in some cases could damage any products connected to the inverter - perhaps leading to more injury for users. No complaints of electric shocks or any other injury have yet been reported.

The models for recall are the BUS008, the APVO601US, the APV07US and the APV08US. Models sold outside the US that need recalling are the APV07CA and the PAV08CA sold in Canada and the APV07EU and APV07UK models sold in Europe.

If you've got any of the above models, you should do yourself a favour and head over to the Targus website for a full refund. Alternatively you can call them at 1-888-5774103. µ
