Epox picks up gong from Nvidia

Announces new motherboard too
Mon Mar 17 2003, 11:02
EPOX HAS BEEN HANDED a small black pyramid. The artefact, strangely reminiscent of the obelisk in 2001, was awarded to Epox by Nvidia for the company's "dedication and commitment to excellence." We wonder if that means other companies aren't dedicated or committed to excellence...

At the same time as announcing the gong, Epox has decided to launch two new Nforce 2 based motherboards, the snappily named EP-8RDA3+ and EP-8RGA3+. The first is based on the Nforce 2 SPP, without integrated graphics, and the second on the IGP, with integrated graphics.

Both boards come with Serial ATA, 5.1 audio and 3 Firewire ports. Nvidia let slip to us last week that the Nforce 2 SPP already supports 400MHz FSB Athlons though no mention was made of the IGP being compatible. µ
