Toshiba shows off consumer electronics version of Cell

A STREAM PROCESSOR called the Spurs Engine is under development by Toshiba, it has emerged.

According to Tech On , the Spurs Engine is a co-processor working in harness with a host CPU.

The gizmo uses XDR DRAM memory, clocks at 1.5GHz, and only eats 10-20 watts. µ
