Monday, 30 June 2008, 09:23

ASUSTEK is to build two new Eee PCs using an 8.9-inch screen, according to Dodgytimes.

Models, 904 and 905 will be based on Intel's Atom processor and combine a smaller screen with a bigger keyboard, according to the report.

The Taiwanese hacks say the firm is mulling whether to cut prices of the the 900 and 901 to flush out the channel.

It could try going for the $199 price tag chairman and CEO Johnny Shih claimed it would be in the first place. µ

The Return of the Bezel Speakers

I guess they've still got loads of the hideous bezel speakers left from the 70x's no-one in their right mind bought once the 90x series was out.

Chipset

9" display, bigger keyboard sounds okay, but I would rather see a better chipset first.

What we really want...

What we really want is a iPhone like device with a large 8" screen.

I want to be mobile and access the web and email the way it looks in my desktop web browser.

$199

Yeah, I was amazed that there wasn't more comment about that lie. It got them millions in free advertising and they had to have known it was a lie.
