XFire X850XT Benchmarks appear

HKEPC tested the new ATI XFire using a Grandmars (never heard of that brand) RD480ES motherboard Sample and two HIS X850XT 256MB XFire card. It is compared to a SLI Rig system. The X850XT rig wins three of the six benchmarks in 3Dmark 03 and 05. HKEPC also has photos of a Colourful nVidia Geforce 6200A with a 64bit memory interface and GDDR2 memory from Infineon. The card has a DVI, a TVO and a DSub interface.

Overclockers Online has a test of the Corsair XMS PC4400 TwinX DDR memory. They are rated at 550MHz at 2.5-4-4-8 timings. They are not cheap but are first rate memory. With heatspreaders, high frequency and low latencies make it an ideal companion for your overclocker motherboard.

Hardwarezone checks a whole bunch of ATI Radeon X800XL graphic cards from Powercolor, HIS, Sapphire, Gacube, Elsa, MSI and Gigabyte. It's a 16-pipeline 256MB GDDR3 memory based card. The GB card has a passive cooler which means that it is completely silent but Sapphire and HIS went away with the gongs.

BIOSmagazine has the Pinnacle Systems PCTV 200e tuner under its belt. It allows you to transform your Desktop PC or laptop into a PVR without having to buy a XP Media centre. Compatible with DVB-T and with external, it offers an active antenna, a good deal of software and a very good price.

The Sony Micro Vault Pro 5GB USB drive is one of the latest product to offer a DVD size capacity in your hand. The Xbitlabs test is compared with a Seagate USB drive. The latter though is more stylish and most probably cheaper while performing similarly.

French website 01net check the QTek S100 which they call the Rolls of smartphones. The QTek seems to be similar to the T-Mobile MDA mobile PocketPC - the phone can also be used as a Portable media player with a landscape option. Translator needed.

TT-hardware tests what it considers as a mini revolution in the NAS domain. The Infrant NAS600 network attachment storage, Relatively cheap, compact, consuming less power than a PC and RAID 5 as standard. The NAS interface is more than friendly. Translator needed. µ
