BBC Radio 4's Farming Today programme said today that those out in the sticks will soon be able to access broadband services because BT has lifted the requirement that a connection has to be within six kilometres of an exchange.
The programme asked BT how it was suddenly
possible to deliver DSL over lines after telling consumers for years that the service just wouldn't work.
To that question, BT didn't directly answer. But it did say that some "additional wiring" might be required in peoples' houses.
Does anyone else get the distinct feeling that BT has somehow been pulling the wool over politicians' eyes? ยต
