INSECURITY OUTFIT Secunia announced it had found big hole in earlier versions of Open Office

The firm said it found a vulnerability which, "potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system."

Who these malicious people may be and whether anyone could be bothered to do such a thing isn't explained.

But all Open Orifice users should be quaking in their boots at the shuddering realisation that their back doors are sagging open, we surmise.

Unless they've updated to version 2.3.1 like any good little user, that is. In which case they are all plugged up. µ
