Mikey Dell - coming to a cinema near you

Short, silent, movie role
Wednesday, 5 November 2008, 13:56

WE ALL KNOW IT’S TOUGH out there at the moment. Some are tightening their belts, some are losing their job, and some, like Michael Dell are making their movie debuts.

OK, so he’s the only one. Still, Dell and his wife Susan have made the interesting decision to appear (briefly) in the new film, The Sno Cone.

Acting obviously isn’t their forte however as they are playing the parts of Michael and Susan Dell – in a role as big investors who have made the decision to place their funds in the hands of Miller Stinch Financial – both characters play a silent role.

Director Travis Knapp explains that the film is, “like ‘Office Space’ meets ‘Wedding Crashers’”, as it is funny, but not that funny.

Knapp hopes that this film will highlight the current crisis as he says: “It’s very timely for what’s going on in the market…all of the main guys find out what they really need to be doing.”

The Sno Cone has experienced limited release so far, yet producers hope it will receiving wider showing with a possible DVD release in order to make back the $2 million it cost to make and distribute. µ
