Next year, the new, cuddlier E3 will take place from July 11-13th, in Santa Monica. The main place of the venue is the Barker Hangar, followed by near-by hotels.
The show will offer hands-on demonstrations of games to press, industry analysts and other invited guests in small booths, ranging from 10 to 40 square metres - a major change from hundreds and thousands of square meters from the E3 of yesteryear.
Show organiser ESA decided to take company conferences as a role model, so E3 will also have keynotes, luncheon sessions, small art exhibits (like the one which was located next to the press room at E3'06), while you can expect that Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will continue to compete with massively multihack press conferences and parties.
E3 as we knew it is a matter of history and the organiser hopes to revive the spirit of first E3 conventions back in the 1990s, before the big bucks kicked in and the scantily-clad babes were kicked out µ
