We know that this time ATI will be able to claim that it has the card that supports HDMI but right now is only producing X1600 PRO-based HDMI cards.
There are no plans for anything faster but it will be good step into the future as HDMI is a nice connector that can transfer your audio and video from your PC to your HDMI enabled LCD or Plasma TV.
Power Color already sampled cards and expects them in etail in roughly two weeks. Sapphire should have the same schedule. We know that some people really want to get those cards.
Apart from a single Sony design, Nvidia still doesn't offer an HDMI-capable card to either etail or retail to end-users. µ
