Microsoft starts pre-RC1 Vista programme

SOFTWARE FURRY giant Microsoft has invited a number of folk to help test the latest build of its constantly futuristic Vista operating system.

This is part of its Vista Beta 2 customer preview programme and it is limiting participation to 100,000 testers. When that number has been reached, this particular phase of the test will be over.

A reader invited to test Vista said the download is 2.89GB.
