ALTHOUGH OUR MAN IN MOSTAR got some stick way back when for suggesting there was a problem with Nforce, it now appears, at least according to this Anandtech Comdex report that he was right. According to the piece, the five launch partners still have some difficulties at the beginning with their boards, although the reference board is OK.

This report is also notable for highlighting how well Via is doing with its Athlon KT266A, and how lily-livered the mobo manufacturers can be when anything with the letters i+n+t+e+l get anywhere near them.

There's more, and also very extensive coverage of Comdex, at Tech Report.

SystemLogic has its memory and CPU report up and running.

Stomped has some useful and extensive links to the launch of Nintendo's Gamecube.

HardOCP has posted some Intel desktop roadmaps which appear to be virtually identical to the ones we saw in a London pub 12 days ago.

Watch out for that information to suddenly appear in all sorts of other derivative places....

The Pabster has some about Duron 1200 versus the Pentium 4.

At Van's Hardware, there is some more about the Xbox and the memory it uses. ยต
