Xbitlabs has a quick 9-page review of the MSI Hetis 915 Lite Slim PC barebone. Not much details over its functionalities - it uses the MS-7131 mainboard, which is itself built around the i915 chipset. While it cannot withstand extra hot CPUs like the P4 560, it should be more than adequate for Celerons and entry level P4. Good for business applications.
German Hardware website, K-hardware tests the AMD A64 X2 3800+ and the FX57 simultaneously. They overclock the X2 3800+ to 2.5GHz, above the 2.4Ghz of the X2 4800+ and the results couldn't be better. As for the FX57, well, a dying breed indeed.
Pureoverclock tests the Arctic Cooling NV Silencer5 rev.3 compatible. A no brainer, buy yourself one if you have a 7800 graphics card. It is cheaper than what you would expect and most importantly, gives some welcomed oomph to your graphic card.
British website Hexus brings us the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro. At £200 a pop, you really really have to like your ears. That sound card comes with some stunning array of IOs and quite a few tweaks that make the XFI so special. The remote handset is a welcome goodie but while it does get points for being a top of the range product - you will be paying through the nose for it.
Bittech has one of the first reviews of the Sapphire Radeon X1800XL graphics card. It performs on par with the four month old 7800GT but happens to cost much more than the latter. The £75 difference observed brings you in the realms of the 7800GTX in UK. Right now, there's no contest. Be sure not to be caught up in the X1000 frenzy and just keep an eye on improved drivers. µ
