Dell confirms new factory in India

TIN MAKER Dell said that it will build its first Indian factory in the state of Tamil Nadu.

It has seen shipments in India increase by 82 per cent with revenues rising by 63 per cent in its latest financial quarter.

Manufacturing will begin in the first half of next year, with the factory, near Chennai (Madras) making desktop products initially.

Dell now has factories in Penang, Malaysia; China; Austin, Nashville, Winston-Salem in America; Limerick and in Brazil. It's building a second Brazilian factory right now. µ
