Minister's son in text scandal
GOAN EDUCATION minister Atanasio Monserratte's 21-year-old son is in hot water after it is claimed that he used his dad's mobile phone to sexually harass a 14-year-old German girl.
According to the Deccan Herald, the allegation was made by Fadela Fuchs, a German researcher who is on long-term visa to study Indian Mythology.
She said that Rohit Monserratte sexually harassed her daughter and sent lewd SMSs.
Inspector Knacker of the Goa yard has swooped on the 21-year-old who could be charged under Goa's child abuse laws.
Unfortunately for the Minister, while his son probably sent the texts, he could be arrested because under the law the mobile used to send the messages was registered in his name.
Monserratte Snr said that he owned 19 mobiles and anyone could have used his to send the texts. He said it was nothing to do with him.
The Deccan Herald didn't ask the minister why he needed 19 mobiles and why he didn't seem to know where any of them were at any given time. It seems a jolly useful alibi all you need to do is buy a lot of mobile phones and then you don't have any responsibility for what happens on any of them. µ

In India, ministers get aways with crimes even if they get caught red handed...they even get away with cases where there are sufficient eye witnesses and video proof of their crimes. This will be a thing that never occured in a couple of days...its ironic that these scums manage to get their power back even if they are guilty and subsequently sacked from their positions!
