Call of Juarez gets DX10 goodness

Benchmark coming in near future
Mon May 07 2007, 15:55
THE GUYS FROM TECHLAND are preparing quite a treat for owners of DirectX 10 graphics cards. Call of Juarez, a really nifty first person shooter set in wild west, when America was run by Smith & Wesson and Winchester - will get a hefty graphics upgrade.

We're not sure when the game itself will get upgraded to DX10 goodness, but we learned that the company will ship a DirectX 10 benchmark really soon, probably in next couple of weeks.

Given the current lack of DirectX 10 titles that would enable hacks to benchmark the bloody graphics cards with API they support natively, this is a welcoming news.

Since the patch should be free, if you own a DX10 graphics card, you could consider buy the game using on-line download service - located in our complementary l'inq section. µ
