New hole in Word opens as old one fails to close

Insecurity, we're plagued by it
Mon Dec 11 2006, 11:55
MICROVOLES at the Microsoft Security Response Centre say they've found a new vulnerability in the program called Word which is not the same as the one found last week.

The firm also said won't get around to patching last week's hole in its usual patch Tuesday ritual due tomorrow, so only Allah knows when this new one might get plugged.

VNUNet reports that Microsoft might make a special case and plug one Word hole in an irregular patch day blitz which may not happen on a Tuesday. It may, though.

Whether the new hole will get patched at the same time as the old one is also unclear. µ
