Does Dell's Kevin Rollins dream about AMD?

We figure he must. What a nightmare

PICTURE THIS. DELL CEO Kevin Rollins tucks up in bed tonight with a cup of cocoa and after a satisfying session talking to Goldmine Sachs' investors, as CRN reports.

After entering the hypnagogic state he slips into deep sleep, only for a terrifying dream to hit him around 2AM when he wakes up sweating and with a terrible start.

In the dream, more like a mare, he's surrounded by the scum of the earth, otherwise known as the Fourth Estate, and they're all haranguing him about one thing, and one thing only.

WHEN WILL YOU USE AMD CHIPS?

Perhaps in this nightmare Mr Rollins saw Ed Moltzen from CRN, Charlie Demerjian and Mad Mike Mageezer from the INQ, folk from ZD Net, from VNU and even from Business Week and perhaps hackettes and hacks from MacWorld and it's like being attacked by a gang of vicious insects in a humid place.

But, reasons Rollins to himself. It was only a dream. The journos in his dream were just figments of his imagination. And all is well at Round Rock and with the world. And Apple's boxes pose no threat, never mind Lenovo, which, he reminds himself, is essentially a Chinese company and not the Son of IBM at all. µ
