AREA 51 AXL X2 is likely to be the world's first available SLI setup. It comes from Alienware and it will use Intel's Tumwater chipset rather then Nvidia's Nforce 4 SLI. I guess A'Ware is doing this simply because Tumwater is available now while Nforce 4 will apparently come later.

This machine will have a Xeon CPU and will come with two Geforce 6800 Ultra cards connected in SLI mode. You can see some details about this marchitecture here.

This machine won't come cheap and it will break the unbreakable $6000 mark, but you will possibly get the fastest gaming setup that money can buy. Machine comes with 3.4 GHz Xeon CPU, 1 GB or ram, two Geforce 6800 Ultra cards, two times 74 GB Raptor drives, Audigy 2 ZS and Optical drive. All inside for $6000 and you can upgrade this machine and get it to even $8500+.

You can find more details here.

The firm claims that the 1st December is the estimated shipping date for this price and performance beautifully designed beastie. ยต
