CHIP FIRM Nvidia tracked us down very close to INQ Central, as right now we are hiding in an undisclosed location in north west London, preparing for the third year jubilee. Rather than kill the FX5900XT stone dead, Nvidia says the part still lives, despite the story filed here yesterday as story 15170 Fudomarks.

This one.

This is what Nvidia high ranking executive told us, today: "We are pleased to be able to confirm that 5900XT will continue to be available for some time to come and that we have no plans at this time to end of life the product. The 5900 XT has sold extremely well, worldwide, and as you said yourself 'there is huge demand for these extremely good cards' so we are in no hurry to stop selling them".

The man continued: "It's the perfect companion to the ever growing of list of games that require Nvidia GPUs to enjoy them The Way They Were Meant To Be Played." [capitals, his]

So I guess these cards will live for a while and you, the consumer won't be unhappy because it's a very nice piece of hardware and all for less than €200. µ
