Samsung gets excited by solid state disks again

And you thought storage was dull

MASSIVE KOREAN CHAEBOL Samsung offered a lure to hungry storage fishes, saying it's started to sample 16 gigabit NAND flash memory.

It said the devices are produced using a 50 nanometre process and will speed the move to solid state disks.

The 16 gigabit chips will go into mass production within the next three months. ยต
