English Al-Jazeera site returns

But needs to buy more Sun servers or something

THE NEVER ENDING sage of the English web site of Al-Jazeera is, err, never ending.

The web site, partly paid for by the Qatar government, set its English web site up for business again today.

But pressure for news which comes from Disney, from Microsoft and from other US news sites appears to have put paid to its new existence already.

When we visited it, the site, which you can find here had the Web equivalent of an engaged tone because of volume of traffic.

Beep, beep 404 404, beep beep, it went.

* AL JAZEERA hacks were kicked out of Iraq yesterday.
