Dutch judge bans Lindows.com web site

Thu Jan 29 2004, 16:34
BINK.NU reports that a Dutch judge has decided that the use of the word Lindows is forbidden in the country.

Lindows is too much like Windows, the beak reckons.

He ruled that Dutch distributors and resellers have to stop selling and advertising the Linux based product within eight days.

And people must be unable to get to the lindows.com in Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxemburg), according to Bink.

Enforcing this one is going to be interesting.

There's more, here. µ
