SSE4 to debut at Intel show

IDF Just don't call it GNI anymore

ONE OF THE big surprises at IDF is going to be the new instruction set that we have been hearing about called Gesher New Instructions or GNI.

They are going to officially be named SSE4, and there are about 50 of the little critters, give or take a few.

Unlike SSE3, Intel will be promoting the heck out of these, and they are said to be quite useful. We will see. µ
