THE XBOX VERSION of Reservoir Dogs has been pulled from shelves in the UK.

While the game, based on Quentin Tarantino's talkie version of a stage play, is being slammed in the US because of its ‘unnecessary violence' in the UK, the reason it was pulled is because of a printer's error.

Eidos, who made the game, said that the Xbox version was shipped without the proper "18" rating on the disk.

It only affected the Xbox version of the game and Eidos says it had an obligation to ensure that an 18-rated game can be clearly identified as such, the spokesEidos said.

New disks are being printed where the 18 rating is clearly marked and these will be distributed shortly.
