Detonator causes DVI problems

Glitch pops up
Thu Dec 06 2001, 10:32
A USER IS WARNING that it isn't just motherboards that seem to sit uncomfortably with the Detonator 23.11.

An email to Nvidia and to the INQUIRER appears to suggest that 23.11 also has problems with DVI based displays as well.

The report claimed during the boot process, the Windows logo gets corrupted and the video card then switches over to the analogue connection.

And when users attempt to manually re-detect the DVI device in the advanced display properties dialogie, systems will not recognise it.

The system in use includes a GeForce Ti500/Leadtek - Silicon Graphics 1600SW via Multi-Link Adaptor, a GeForce 2mx w/ DVI / Inno3D - Silicon Graphics 1600SW via Multi-Link Adapter, and the Asus A7V133 w/ KT133a Chipset (Bios Revision 1.07) with the latest drivers from Via.

Rev 21.83 of the Detonator drivers works perfectly with the system, the user noted.ยต
