Expression slow to hit he shops
Thu Sep 15 2005, 08:50
SOFTWARE OUTFIT Microsoft has released a set of web tools which are supposed to counter the success of Adobe, Macromedia.

Dubbed "Expression", which makes it sound like an Italian perfume, the suite of Web site design and graphics software enables .Net developers do all those things that Macromedia has done for what seems like centuries.

In the kit is the Sparkle Interactive Designer, which builds 3D animation and graphics, the Acrylic Graphic Designer for a painting and illustration, and Quartz Web Designer, a layout and design tool for building Web sites.

But, like most things Volish, Expression is only around in beta and will not hit the shops until 2006.
