War of Balloons rumbles on in Old Taipei

Computex 007 Intel has to be higher than AMD, Daamit

YES, COMPUTEX IS back, and this means one thing at least: balloon wars, Part LXIV.

This time, AMD and Intel are battling it out on the facades of Taipei 101, New York, New York. Indeed, half of the buildings in town (plus the airport) are marked with either one of these two companies or their tier one partners.

Here are some of the finest examples:

As we noodled about innocently we heard a Chipzilla rep roaring at his balloon blowers: "We have to be higher than Daamit, daamit!" Or something similar, at least.

Sadly for many visitors, Starbucks moved from NY NY to a location opposite of Taipei 101, so it is no longer on the way to Hall 2. Now, its McDonalds+Ice Cream shop...

But of course, AMD took its traditional spot on top of New York, New York

No, it is never boring in Taipei. Nor does it seem that it will stop raining. µ
