If you're not a big fan of having huge fans, or would like to part ways with air-cooling completely, water has always proved to be quite a viable alternative. But if you're on a budget, we would advise you to visit FastSilicon.com and what these guys have to say about cheap water-cooling systems.
OCWorkBench posted an exclusive review of EPoX EP-AP68P/G review. This board features new nForce 7050PV-630A chipset, and it seems that the chipset has some problems with USB. It was quite enough that guys from OCW compared it to ATi's infamous SB400, so we'll see what will happen and what was the cause of issues.
Today was the day of new Nvidia's chipsets, since Legit Reviews tested EVGA's 650i Ultra 774 A1 motherboard. On the other side, Motherboards.Org tested ECS NF650iSLIT-A, a motherboard based on nForce 650i Ultra chipset.
Legion Hardware benchmarked OCZ's air/water-cooled PC2-9600 Flex XLC memory modules. These modules are really heavy, due to amount of aluminium used on the modules themselves. Then again, you don't need to use water-cooling to get high performance.
If 2GB of memory memory is not enough, Techgage tested Super Talent 4GB Kit PC2-6400. This vendor is growing in popularity, but also brings higher latencies to the table. But, two sticks with two gigs of chips on each would give you room to put 6 or 8GB of memory in not so distant future.
On the other hand, if you're on budget, PC-Treiber.Net posted a review of MDT DDR2-800 CL5 2048MB Twinpack. These high-latency modules are priced less than 100 Euro, which is a rare thing when it comes to 2GB capacity. This review is in German, but on top of the article there is a L'INQ to Google's translated article.
IT-Review continued to explore the technology hidden inside the upcoming next generation Radeons. Seeing that many sites lately just post wrong information, it is interesting to see how IT-Review hopes to answer dilemmas about the "sound card" hidden inside R600 chips.
XSReviews reviewed Razer Barracuda AC-1 audio card. It seems like an interesting product, but we will reserve judgement until we see the product for ourselves. If it does not come with overbloated applications, it just might be a good one.
If you are looking to refresh your sound department, you might need to get not just the soundcard, but rather a sound system as well. TheTechLounge reviewed Logitech X-640 5.1 speakers, a 5.1 set for people on a budget. Go and check it out.
A review of yet another hard drive enclosure, Vantec NexStar LX was posted today, over at Bjorn3D.com.
