A COMPANY CALLED MOMAIL which, as the name indicates, deals with mobile mail, has sent out a press release inviting us to all get very excited about the fact that it will now be launching support for all major email accounts including Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo etc.
The company gushes that all this comes just in time "for the holiday season" , so that if you are one of the lucky ones who manages to cajole the boss into giving them a week or two off, you’ll still be able to check your email, wherever you are. Joy.
Momail’s "Mobile Postman" as the firm calls its service, claims to take great pains to ensure that your emails will all make it to your tiny mobile screen in one piece, attachments and all. "We've done all the hard work on our side. There shouldn't be any for you", Momail’s CEO, Roger Grönberg, splutters enthusiastically.
Momail reckons that its pompously-dubbed Mobile Message Optimization & Protection Engine (MMOPE) is able to not only optimize all emails for you to squint at on your mobile screen, but also save up to 99.9 per cent of the data sent to the mobile. The company also claims that all emails are rigorously filtered by anti spam and anti virus software, provided by Ironport.
Momail also boast about its "Dynamic Sender" feature which, in short, means that a person can reply to an email from the email address that the original message was sent to.
The software is supposedly compatible with 1,000 different models of mobile phone and can be downloaded for free and used across the UK, Scandinavia, Austria, Italy, Germany and Poland, and soon Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg. All exciting destinations you might want to consider for this year's "holiday season".
