Iran filters immoral phone messages

All your MMS are belong to revolution
Monday, 30 April 2007, 14:49
IRAN'S TELECOMMUNICATIONS Ministry is to start filtering mobile phone messages that it deems immoral.

Apparently the men from the Ministry have been told by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, a body set up after Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution to buy all the gear they need.

According to Reuters, the big idea is to stop people misusing the Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). State Television said that the move was designed to stop immoral actions and social problems.

It did not define what it considered immoral, nor what would happen to people who were caught sending such messages to each other. ยต
