FANS OF AMD processors are so over the moon at the performance of the pricey processor that some are shaving their heads to show off the logo, it emerged, somewhat incredibly, here at CeBIT.

According to Ryan Crouch, desktop mainman at AMD, this is a somewhat commenplace phenomenon in fanboy circles, so impressed are they with the chip.

Further, said Crouch, corporate buyers of PC were in their turn impressed by the enthusiasm shown by the er, enthusiasts. They, he said, could see that if such a chip was such a compelling proposition, perhaps their corporation might benefit from shaving their heads too the powerful chips.

We quizzed Crouch about Mary Quant's follicular inventiveness, but he hadn't heard of the famous incident back in the so called swinging sixties.
