CHIP GIANT Intel won't be investigated by the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the New York Times reported.
That's despite the fact that Korea continues its probe against Intel, and the European Commission wants the firm to reply to antitrust accusations by January 4th next year.
The newspaper said that the FTC looked into AMD complaints for over a year, but has decided against pursuing a formal complaint.
Apparently, two out of five FTC commissioners thought a formal complaint should be pursued, but the chairwoman thought an investigation was unncessary.
There's more here. ยต
I guess AMD wasn't making enough political campaign contributions.
The only reason for not pursuing this must be the fact that Intel is a US company, and it would cause Intel to loose money and cause the fragile american economy to slump even more. In my opinion this is systematic corruption on the border of mafia tendencies. If america can't keep clean then their companies should be boycotted all together in any good country.
Let's start fundraising in order to buy the USA.
Everything else can be bought there LOL
Would just like to add, yes, the US government is incredibly corrupt. And, yes, most of the country deserves a LOT of bad luck to come their way.

But please remember that there are 300-million people living here, and even if only 1 in 15 are decent, that's still 20-million people getting undeserved abuse because of their nationality.
