Paint makes your wireless network secure

Forget the encryption
Monday, 26 March 2007, 10:36
COMPANIES WORRIED ABOUT making their wireless network systems secure should forget all about security standards and invest in a tin or two of paint.

EM-SEC Technologies have just released a paint that it claims will allow a wireless network to be contained within painted walls without fear of hackers.

According to its site, EM-SEC Coating is made of a special polymer which means that it can stick to many plastics and polycarbonate as well as metals, textiles, wood, drywall, and masonry.

Electronic eavesdropping and electromagnetic interference in rooms painted with this polymer is a thing of the past, apparently.

Wayne LeGrande, President and Chief Technical Officer, EM-SEC Technologies, said that a lick of paint was a darn site better than expensive wireless encryption methods which do not work. More here. ยต
