Intel leaves server door open

Dual-Core press kits for everybody
Tue Jun 20 2006, 10:37
CHIP FIRM INTEL seems to have made a boo-boo and posted up as-yet confidential information about its upcoming Dual-Core chippery for everyone to see.

The details are meant for reviewers of Intel's upcoming 65nm dual core processors, including the Core 2 Extreme processor X6800 - "2.93 GHz dual core processor - 1066 FSB - 4MB unified L2 cache - Intel Virtualization Technology" - it says here.

Reviewers are supposed to have signed an NDA (non-diclosure agreement) to view the files which go along with their review sample chips and P965 chipset mobos.

"Content on this web site is under embargo until 8:00 AM Pacific time, July 27, 2006." says one document.

Of course Intel may have chosen to leak the documents itself to drum up a bit of publicity for its upcoming chippery.

Anyhow, it looks like our download has just about finished. More soon... µ
