FUTUREMARK has released a bunch of patches for all its benchmarking products.

It seems the company took the opportunity of tweaking its code for Vista to iron out a few bugs in the various routines it produces.

3DMark06, 3DMark05 and PCMark05 have all been updated.

Users of the Basic (free) editions will now only be able view their scores online. A new service called "Result Analyzer" is one of the key elements of the next generation of benchmarks from Futuremark, the company says.

The company wants all benchmarkers to download the patches so that valid comparisons between systems will be possible. All the benchmarks except 3DMark05 Build 1.3.0 are enabled for Windows Vista, the company reckons. µ
