AMD antitrust saga grinds on

LAWYERS FOR AMD said they would take Intel's deposition on preservation of documents.

This preposition for a deposition means that an Intel person must provide testimony under oath although it doesn't have to be made in court, but in chambers, as we Brits have it.

AMD explained that this step is part of the discovery process and will let it and the class plaintiffs respond to Chipzilla's disclosures.

Intel gets to choose who the appropriate witnesses are - so we suspect we won't be seeing Sean Maloney and Paul Otellini a-testifying in front of Justice Hoseph Farnan. ยต
