TAIWANESE GRAPHICS CARD company, Leadtek Research, has just launched a new graphics card based on Nvidia's GeForce 9600 GSO core chip, the WinFast PX9600 GSO Extreme.

The PX9600 GSO comes with 384MB of GDDR3 and 96 Stream Processing Units and also boasts a special cooling system called the S-FANPIPE, which channels GPU heat through a curvy copper pipe to dissipate heat quickly.

Made on 65nm technology, the Leadtek WinFast PX9600 GSO has a 192-bit memory bus design, GPU speed of 600MHz and memory clock speed of 1800MHz. The card's

96 Stream Processing Units also double up with the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture to achieve really fast 3D graphic processing speeds.

Supporting the Vole's Windows Vista, and also Direct X 10 with full Shader Model 4.0, the GSO Extreme has full support for existing PCI Express 1.0 motherboards.

Also, by offering GigaThread, the new generation Shader Model, Leadtek reckons the PX9600 offers more advanced processing performance which includes realistic film-quality gaming effects.

The PX9600 GSO Extreme also bungs in Dual Dual-Link DVI and H.264, MPEG-2, WMV and WMV HD video encoding program output support. ยต

F*** Leadtek

I will never buy another Leadtek card again! I bought the Leadtek's 8800GTX from newegg with supposedly $50 rebate from Leadtek. Never got it.

cheese with that whine

This is indeed not a "new" card but a revamped 8600gso.... new casing and all

one friend got a leadtek doa.....

I typically go with sapphire or diamond...

or evga

but to the whiner above ...complain to newegg...ride the chain of command up and you will get you money most likely...so long as you don't cuss out everyone you meet....

you have a problem and would like thier help to fix it.... very simple

I have worked with newegg Many times and things go wrong occasionally... tell them their partners are not delivering and they should fix it. .... the word False advertising usually gets me what I want.... because that IS what you are dealing with ....but be nice and you would be surprised with how far it can get you.
