Buy yourself a solo flying machine on Ebay

Fly you to the moon
Monday, 13 January 2003, 10:12
alt='solotrek' THOSE MAGNIFICENT MEN with their Ebay auction machine have a new entry in the INQUIRER annals today.

This time it is the SoloTrek XFV One-of-a-Kind prototype aircraft, made by Trek Aerospace.

The SoloTrek XFV is a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft that you step on, strap into, and which flies upright.

But if you buy it, you have to guarantee that you'll use the machine for educational purposes and static exhibition purposes only.

The picture shows what it looks like, while you can find the auction here.

Well yes, but it's hardly leading edge, is it? Perhaps you would instead like to consider the up-and-coming M400 Skycar from Moller International which has go-fast stripes and which the site describes as the airborne equivalent of the Ferrari, the Porsche or the Lamborghini.

You can view videos of the performance of the existing Skycar, here, or see the M400 model at this page. Moller is confident it can deliver, and you can put $100,000+ deposits down...

If you've a more modest bent, perhaps you'd like to try out these helicopters from Vortech. ยต
