Almost everyone has now realised that the XPC is one of the best moves Shuttle made, and gave it quite a nice slice of the market.
It even has a poster where it shows the machine as having the " wife approval factor" since this small machine perfectly fits into a room and doesn't look ugly.
At Cebit, MSI announced its product that offers hi-fi stereo, DVD/VCD, MP3, TV and all the rest for you need for your word processing or your office.
MSI construes mega as meaning the MSI Entertainment Gaming Appliance.
It will offer both a Pentium 4 and Athlon version and of course we are talking about bare bone systems so you need to buy a CPU, memory and a hard drive to make it work.
With it, MSI offers "streamlined wireless remote controller, a pair of 5.2 channel hi-fi speakers, wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, and AM/FM antenna".
The company also offers a six-in-one card reader and presented two versions -- one with the SIS 651 integrated chipset and orange color and the second a green one based on the Via KM400.
For more advanced boys and girls there will be a plus version that will offer onboard TV and 6 in 1 card reader.
There is no word yet about pricing and availability but we are sure that this is one of many small factor cool locking systems that will give the Shuttle XPC a fair bit of competition. ยต
