Palit to take over Gainward

SOURCES SAID Gainward Taiwan will be acquired by Palit Microsystems, a holding company for a number of other hi-tech firms.

But that doesn't mean Gainward is dead and buried - far from it, it appears. The Gainward Europe team is likely to keep on trucking, with the same management heading it up as part of what seems to be a reverse buy in.

Palit is a supplier in the design, manufacture and distribution of PC graphics accelerators. Further details are not yet available. µ
