Works at 630MHz as well

NVIDIA didn't leave much overclocking space in its latest greatest Geforce 7950 GT cards. The highest clock that we seen so far is a 570MHz core speed, but EVGA is ready to push the limits.

The company just released the first batch of its EVGA 7950 GT KO Super clocked and is shipping them at 600MHz core and 1450MHz memory. Some samples will go even faster and will work at 630MHz core and probably a few megahertz faster memory.

EVGA had to change the Nvidia reference board to make the 600MHz clocked card volume production possible. Nvidia didn't leave much space for overclocking on the reference 7950 GT design, but that's why you have guys such as EVGA who will push things a little bit harder. You don't want to push too much as you might cause a lot of RMAs and that upsets both your customers and your revenues.

The cards should be available shortly, at least here in Euroland, as the first batch has arrived. µ
