Wanadoo announces 2Meg broadband deal

Wanadoo or wanadon't?
Tuesday, 19 July 2005, 14:49
BROADBAND PROVIDER Wanadoo is offering a two (German, zvei; Sanskrit dva; French, deux) Meg broadband deal as standard - so customers can surf, and "legally download" videos, music and pictures "twice as fast" as on their previous one meg broadband service.

As well as the two meg service, new customers will also get access to Wanadoo's new internet phone service, Wireless & Talk, included in the fee for the first six months. Also included is Wanadoo Livebox for wi-fi access.

Users beware, though: as an INQ reader pointed out, there's a 2GB allowance per month, rendering your 2Mbps line not-so-useful after all.

If you want to take advantage of the deal, you're going to need a phone line that supports a 2Mbps connection. ยต
