NOVELL HAS FINALLY introduced Service Pack 1 for Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10, delivering improved virtualisation and quad-core support, it said.

It also announced a Virtual Machine Driver Pack. This allows the running of Windows and Linux guest operating systems side by side in virtual environments created with its Xen hypervisor.

The service pack updates high-availability storage and now supports quad-core Xeon and Opteron processors. It claims enhanced security features, audit subsystem enrichment and expanded OpenOffice.org support. µ
