INSPECTOR Knacker of the Tehran yard has swooped on those Western dens of inequity - Interweb cafes.
More than 24 Internet cafes were shut down in a crack-down on immoral behaviour in the Islamic state.
Apparently the coppers had never seen such western decadence. There were people playing immoral computer games and women not wearing proper hijabs and all sorts.
Nader Sarkari, a provincial police commander said that 170 other cafes had been warned about their practices.
More than 23 people were arrested in the swoops, 11 of them were women.
According to News.com young Iranians are dead keen on the Internet and use chat rooms to socialise with the opposite girls just like the rest of the world.
Coppers have had a busy few weeks as there is a fashion of women wearing trousers tucked into long boots and short overcoats and hats instead of scarves. Apparently this causes men to sin or need a cold bath.
In western society this is considered the men's problem and not the responsibly of women. Up our way, people are only stoned if they want to be.
More here. µ
It's shameful! Women letting men see their ears. Strange men! I can understand if a woman was to show her ears to a man she had been married to for a good many years, and they were in private, and it was a special occasion. But to just let anyone see their ears? What kind of streetwalking hussies were they? Where would it stop? Ankles? ELBOWS?!?

So, um... brings a whole new meaning to fashion police, when they really can arrest you for not wearing your Hijab.
Yeah, well over there they arrest women for showing their ears, and over here we've got slut galore showing just about every inch of their body except the tip of the nipples and the small hairs of the crotch and they don't get arrested.
Personally, I wouldn't mind a certain moderation on both sides.
