Japanese subway takes Apple iPod shilling

Listen up
Sunday, 10 July 2005, 18:14
OUR GOOD FRIENDS in Japan have emailed us some fantastic pictures of a subway train "dressed up" for an iPod campaign.

We don't know if our own London mayor, Ken Livingstone, is plotting such an idea. A few tube trains were dressed up with the Olympic 2012 campaign before we won it, that's for sure.

Anyway, this Japanese subway is not the Tokyo underground, and we'll leave you to guess exactly where it is.

We dunno how much Apple paid for the privilege.

Our Japanese correspondent said he forgot to press the auto focus button, although it does help citizens' privacy. ยต

* PS We travelled on the Tube yesterday, a day early. It was running just fine although some parts are likely to be closed off for quite a while yet, unfortunately.
