No Zune in Europe until end of 2007

Terrified of Euro Apple

MICROSOFT HAS said that it will not release its Zune player in Europe until the end of the year.

Zune marketing director Jason Reindorp was quoted by the Washington Post as saying that although Vole was extremely pleased with the way sales had gone in the US, Monsignor Zune will not make it across the pond until Christmas 2007.

It seems that Reindorp is a little worried about Apple's iPod in Europe where he describes the competitor as entrenched.

He said that Vole was going to spend the intervening time having shedloads of focus groups in Europe to see how it could be modified for a European consumer.
