Agitar agitates enterprise development

SOFTWARE FIRM Agitar said it's re-jigged its Java testing tool Agitator with new version Agitar One testing software as its written.

It now includes JUnit generation which helps sift through legacy code, and lets developers automate regression tests to keep the old code working as it ought to.

Agitar One also includes interactive unit testing and server based deployment for testing enterprise systems.

The tool is aimed at enterprise developer shops, but Agitar is also offering it for free to accreditedd educational institutions.

Cisco and other enterprises uses the firm's products, it said.

Entry level product starts at $50,000 a year and takes the form of an annual subscription. Agitar One supports XP, 2000, Linux with kernel 2.4.22 or later, J2EE, Java extensions JDBC, JNDI and Java Servlets. µ
